Halloween is nearly here, and if you’re like me, you probably have no idea what to wear. As a disabled girly, I understand inclusivity is important.
Every group should have the possibility to wear whatever they want, and brands should account for and design clothes for people with physical impairments, or people with different bodies alike.
With that being said, I struggled to find any inspo for this post, and it made me sad. I started to question why there are no photos of plus-size queens on Halloween. I never came to this conclusion; however, I did sum up the ideas I did find to create Halloween inspo ideas for plus-size queens.
Half Gilda, half Glinda Wicked costume.

I love this costume as it’s so creative. If my inner English teacher came out, she’d say it was symbolic of the devil and angel motif. To create this look, sew half of a Glinda dress and the other half of a Glinda dress together, and then you have a seamless dress. Add half a black wig and half a blonde wig and do the same. Add half a tiara and half a witch hat, and there you go. Don’t forget to paint your body green.
Cruella de Vil costume

Cruella de Vil from 101 Dalmatians is such an icon, so let’s recreate this look. Add a black and white wig and pair it with a long black lace dress; add your favorite white fur coat and a leather bag; pair it with red gloves and heels, and maybe a cigarette.
Snow White costume

This costume is giving main character energy, and maybe it’s just the queen in the photo that’s stunning regardless. To recreate this look, you’ll need a blue corset, a yellow silk ruffle skirt, and a red cape. If you need to change the color of your hair to black, you can use semi-permanent box dye or temporary box dye.
Ursula from The Little Mermaid costume

If you’re in love with supervillains for this Halloween, this look might be for you. You first have to paint yourself purple all over with purple face paint. For applying this, a good tip is to use a large sponge. Once you’ve applied the purple to the majority of your body, leave space for the dress. Wear your favorite black dress. Bonus points if it’s flared at the bottom. Add seashell jewelry and a white wig, part your hair in a side part, and curl it. Add a red lip and add a stuffed animal, a real stuffed animal, and you’re ready to scare every mermaid in the sea.
Velma from Scooby-Doo costume

Girl, if you’re anything like me, you love spooky Scooby-Doo. So why not recreate the look from one of the most iconic characters, aka Velma? To recreate this look, start with a darker orange skirt and a medium orange long-sleeve shirt that’s the same shade as the socks. Red Mary Janes, glasses, and a magnifying glass for all your adventures with the spooky clan.
Tinker Bell costume

She’s sexy, she’s cute, she’s unstoppable. You guessed it, I’m talking about Tinker Bell from Peter Pan. So if you’re a whimsical fairy girl and would like to recreate this look, listen up. First, you’ll need a sparkling green and yellow corset top and a matching green skirt.
If you want to recreate this photo, if I’m being honest with you, you can use any sparkling green dress, and you’ll look bomb. Pair with yellow or sparkling white fairy wings and a wand, and fishnet tights that are slightly spooky and then spooky and sparkly, and a magic wand for your hair; have it in a slicked-back bun with the front pieces out, and you’re all set.
Skeleton baddie look

Girl, if you want to scare people yet be super cute this Halloween season, we’ve got you. This skeleton body look is one to recreate. To recreate this look, pair a black and white dress that is striped with a shirt poking through. If you’re a sewer, honestly, this will be so much easier if you can sew. You could recreate this look so easily. The creator of this costume uses the same material for every look: the skirt to the leg warmers to the typo to the sleeves. Add skeleton face paint to complete this look.
Ariel from The Little Mermaid

She’s cute, she’s feisty, she’s a hero in her own right. This is Ariel from The Little Mermaid. To recreate this look, pair a majestic sparkly purple bikini top with a ruffle long aqua green sparkly skirt. Add a red wig and seashells and starfish, and there you go. You’re the perfect mermaid.
Alice in Wonderland costume

Every slightly weird girl has a non-healthy obsession with Alice in Wonderland when they were a child. I don’t make the rules; it’s just facts. To recreate this look, pair a baby blue dress with a black bow and a maid bib and ruffles. If you don’t have a blue dress, black will work. Add knee-high black and white striped socks and black Mary Janes. For accessories, add a black bow to your hair and a teapot for extra flair and a blue eyeshadow, and you’re on the way to look for the White Rabbit.
Miss Piggy from The Muppets costume

When I think of the phrase mother, I automatically think of Miss Piggy. Perhaps there’s something seriously wrong with me, but I’m not going to expect it. However, that got personal. Let’s take it back to talking about Halloween costumes.
To recreate this look, you’ll need a blonde curly wig with a fringe, kind of giving Sabrina Carpenter, a wig that’s kind of giving Sabrina Carpenter, a sparkly sequin dress with a legs lit and a coat, a fur coat, and purple gloves, and of course a stuffed animal husband, aka Kermit the Frog.
The busy bumblebee

If playful and wholesome is the vibe you want to embody this Halloween, this look might be for you to recreate this look. Pair a ruffled black skirt with a baby doll yellow top, and if you’re chilly, a black long-sleeve top underneath. Add black combat boots and yellow and black striped knee-high socks, and to accessorize, bee ears and wings.
Killer Baby Costume

There’s nothing quite as creepy as a killer baby for Halloween, especially if your day job is a babysitter.
To recreate this look, pair a striped shirt that’s cut near the top and hemmed, so technically it’s not a top, with a denim jumpsuit or romper with text ‘Wanna play?’ Chances are your romper doesn’t have text on it, so if it doesn’t, you could use the chain stitch to embroider ‘Wanna play?’ Add knee-high socks, fake blood, and a knife for an accessory.
Sebastian from The Little Mermaid

Chances are, if you’re not an Ariel fan or a Flounder fan, then chances are you love the side characters, for example, Flounder and Sebastian. So why not dress up as one of the main characters to recreate this look?
Pair a white shirt over a corset, make sure it’s cropped, add shorts, a buckle belt, add red tights and another pair of tights for your arms, add a red hat and print off Sebastian’s eyes and claws and glue them to the cardboard instead of the red tone, and add red tone makeup.
Poison Ivy goddess look

If goddess energy is something you want to embody this Halloween, maybe this dress is for you. To recreate this look, you’ll need an emerald green corset, green tights, a red wig, and a Poison Ivy veil. To create the Poison Ivy veil, add tulle fabric with faux ivy flowers. Use hot glue to stick them in place. Add roses for an extra flair.
Megan horror costume

If you’re a horror film fanatic, then this look might be the one for you. To recreate this look, you’ll need a skater white dress, a black leather jacket, fishnet tights, combat boots, and a Chucky toy and accessories to accessorize. Add a blonde wig for extra accuracy.
Mavis Dracula Hotel Transylvania costume.

you’re a Mavis fan, this look might be the one for you. To recreate this look, pair a bodycon black dress with fishnet gloves, black and red striped tights, vampire teeth, and a black fringe bob wig.
