Things to remember before we get started
We all have different areas of our home, and to make a good impression on guests, we want to make every area festive.
This might seem daunting at first, but we tend to forget how many items we have at home , for example, trash, we can personalise for decor purposes.

Jean table set idea
Table decor is something most guests will first be impressed by.
I love the idea of taking an old pair of jeans and turning them into something special.

In the picture, they use the Jean pocket to hold the cutlery, how clever!!
To spice it up even more, you can add an American flag.
For plates, there is no need to purchase a new set; just use whatever blue or red plates you have on hand.
Pair this with a striped blue tablecloth.
This decor idea is super easy but will leave guests thinking you’re a designer.

Basket patriotic door wreath
Instead of the common patriotic door wreath, you could use a basket to display floral arrangements creatively.
After all, July is the season of flowers, so why not showcase their beauty in something eye-catching like a wooden basket?
To add some more festivity, you could even add an American flag or a sign with your family name to make it more personalized.

Basket centerpiece idea
If you’re looking for an aesthetic way to display condiments and napkins, this idea might be for you.
All you need is a small wooden rattan basket and flowers of your choosing.

The secret to this decor idea is to add a thin glass of water in the middle so your flowers stay hydrated in the hot July weather.
4th of July bunting
There’s something so nostalgic about bunting; perhaps it reminds us to celebrate a special occasion, and makes us remember childhood memories of the holidays.
Nevertheless, it’s a lot easier to create than you might think.

There’s something about the American flag that reminds everyone of the 4th of July. So why not get your creativity flowing with this craft?
All you need is an assortment of ribbon and a patch of white and blue fabric.

Rustic patriotic wall hanging
This diy is one of my favorites, for I mean, just look at how cute it is, and you probably already have the supplies to create this at home.
To make this rustic patriotic wall hanging at home, you’ll need a burlap ribbon for the bow, red and blue bandana fabric or ribbon, white wooden stars, jute twine, faux baby’s breath or berry stems, dried wheat or pampas accents, and a wall hook for hanging.
Use a hot glue gun, scissors, and floral wire or zip ties to attach everything and create the layered farmhouse-style look.

Patriotic decoupage bells
If you’re a lover of decoupage, this design is for you.
All you need is papier-mache bells, or you can make your own and decoupage paper in a patriotic design.
For an added flair, you could attach twine to the top and add festive beads.

Metal star decoration piece
This design is just fabulous, I mean, who doesn’t like a retro-looking star, paired with a friendship-style necklace?
This design can be easily replicated. If you don’t have a metal star on hand it might paint a papier-mache star and add twine and beads.

Decoupage patriotic cutting board Diy
By now, it’s clear decoupage is the best way to create professional-looking home decor on a budget.
I love decoupage for many reasons. Decoupage is such a fun, low-pressure way to make old furniture, jars, notebooks, or random thrift finds look expensive and personal without needing to be “artistic.”
Girls the best part is it’s cheap, relaxing, beginner-friendly, and super customizable.
You basically glue paper or napkins onto a surface, smooth it out, then seal it with varnish or Mod Podge for that polished finish. To give this design a retro look, you can add Scrabble pieces. You can even add a handmade bow made with scrap fabric pieces.
Another trick to make it even cuter is to add a button on top of the fabric bow.

American flag canisters
There’s something so retro and artistry about decorative barrels or tin canisters.
Girls, to make this diy all you need is to start with plain tin cans or wooden containers, paint them white if needed, then cut pieces of American flag scrapbook paper or napkins and glue them on using Mod Podge, smoothing out any wrinkles as you go.
Once dry, seal everything with another layer of Mod Podge or matte varnish for that vintage-worn look, then style them with flowers, apples, or other farmhouse-style décor to make it feel cozy and handmade.
Use your final design to store apples or flowers.

Maison Jar holiday-themed bouquet
There’s nothing quite like a holiday-themed bouquet, and these mason jar patriotic bouquets don’t disappoint.
Begin by adding your favorite flowers to a mason jar filled with water, add a bow for a finishing touch, and there you have a lovely DIY to brighten your tablescape.

Patriotic bandana wreath
If you’re a lover of quirky door decor and are tired of the same holiday floral wreaths, this DIY is for you, girl.
Simply tie bandanas on a large styrofoam donut.
For a wreath like this, you’d probably need around 6–8 bandanas, depending on how full and chunky you want the braid to look and the size of your wreath form.
Simply twist and tie the bandanas in order of color.

Letter wall hanging display
This DIY is such a cute one.
The premise is that you write a letter to a loved one or a person who died in the service of the country.
All you need is twine, envelopes, and an assortment of leaves and wildflowers.
String your envelopes on with hot glue and add the letters and flowers for something extra

Cupcake day patriotic decor
A genius idea is to use things you already have in the house.
Not only does this save time running to the store, but it also saves money in your account.
Using a cupcake or a tiered tray is a great idea to display trinkets.
Ideas of trinkets are ceramic clay pieces you’ve crafted, little paintings, frames, and little keepsakes, just make sure to stick to the theme of the 4th of July.

Garden lights American decor
If you’re looking for another way to jazz up items you have at home, using garden lights might be the one.
The idea is you add a tea light and an American flag. This idea would work great as a table centrepiece.

Americana faux floral arrangement
If you love a good faux flower arrangement, this design is for you. My favorite thing about faux flowers is that they last forever.
This is especially important in the hot summer months when florals have a low shelf life.
To make this DIY craft even more festive, simply add in American flags.

When I think of farmhouse decor, shabby chic springs to mind.
This shabby chic drawer is perfect for a summer evening diy.
To achieve this design, all you gotta do is paint an old wooden drawer in a matte red colour, then sand the edges to create a distressed shabby chic look.
Fill it with faux greenery, fabric hearts, berry stems, twine, and a vintage-style American flag for a rustic Americana centerpiece.
